What’s the best type of concrete coating?

Can you put a thin coat of concrete over existing concrete?
Yes, in general you can put an overlay over existing concrete if the base slab is structurally sound and properly prepared. What Floortek does is different: instead of pouring new structural concrete, we prep your existing slab, repair cracks and apply a high-performance coating system designed specifically for concrete surfaces. This gives you the look of a “new” floor without replacing the slab, as long as the underlying concrete is in good condition.
Is concrete coating cheaper than epoxy?
It depends on what you’re comparing. A basic DIY epoxy kit is usually cheaper upfront than a professionally installed, lab-tested concrete coating.
